The Australian lolitas community did an event recently where we partnered up with another random member and did photos together! The idea was to have each person forming one half of a whole hand heart.
My partner and I decided to do two sets, to see which theme we liked better! This is the second theme, which was Circus! I was a harlequin, she was the ringmaster.
I took a few extra photos while I was at it, because it took me a while to get this all together. ^^;

Hey, it’s at least worth trying, right?
The tags still work for me, but if this is happening elsewhere, it’s only a matter of time before they stop.
I hosted a #lolita #fashion party yesterday, and here’s what I wore! #lolitafashion #classiclolita #millefleurs #innocentworld #corfina
Photo realistic and reproductions of famous art pieces is trendy right now in the Lolita fashion community, and since most Lolita brands put out a yearly Yukata, there’s no surprise Juliette & Justine would.
Typical of Lolita fashion there’s a lacy collar and dangling pearls.
Colour wise there’s some interesting things happening. Dark colours like greys and browns would typically be worn by men and make up the bulk of this Yukata. The blue is an interesting contrast that you don’t normally see paired with darker greys in Kimono. Combine that with a big flower picking up bits of dusty rose from some of the print and all the lace and you have quite a contrast of masculine and feminine elements working together and complimenting eachother.
The obi itself is plain grey and matches the more masculine colour palette.
While Grey is used in women’s Kimono and Obi, it is generally reserved for older ladies who don’t wear colour anymore. It adds a maturity to this outfit that the rose-pearls-lace contrast. If you took off the bling you could almost say this was unisex.
